How does Spellex-Anywhere work?

You can use Spellex-Anywhere in programs such as Webmail, WordPad, Internet Explorer, and many more. To use the Spellex-Anywhere spell checker, type your text and place your cursor in the text box you would like to spell check. Then simply press the F11 key (or the hotkey assigned) to activate Spellex-Anywhere. The Spellex-Anywhere spell checking window will be displayed with your spelling options.

What programs will Spellex-Anywhere work with?

Spellex-Anywhere provides a spell checking feature for most Windows programs that do not include a spell checker. You can use Spellex-Anywhere in Webmail, WordPad, Internet Explorer, and many other programs. To verify that it works in a particular program, we suggest downloading a trial version.

Will Spellex-Anywhere work with WordPerfect?

The current version of Spellex-Anywhere will not work with WordPerfect. However, we do carry plug-in spell checkers for WordPerfect. To view a list of spell checkers compatible with WordPerfect, click here.

Will Spellex-Anywhere work with Microsoft Word?

Spellex-Anywhere was designed to provide a spell checking utility to Windows programs that do not include one. While Spellex-Anywhere will work with Microsoft Word, we suggest purchasing a product from our line of plug-in spell checkers. These spell checkers integrate with Word and allow you to use its built-in spelling and grammar tools (e.g. AutoCorrect). To view a list of spell checkers compatible with Microsoft Word, click here.

Do you have a similar product for the Mac?

Will Spellex-Anywhere work on my Web Site?

If you would like to add a spell checker to your Web Site, we suggest using one of our Web Spelling Engines.

Will Spellex-Anywhere work with the software I'm developing?

If you would like to add a spell checker to your application, we suggest using one of our Software Development Kits.

What is the difference between the Basic and Comprehensive versions?

Spellex-Anywhere Basic contains 90,000 English words; these are words that you would expect in most programs' spell check dictionary. Spellex-Anywhere Comprehensive correctly spells more than 130,000 English terms including thousands of terms from business, technology, finance, law, and medicine which are 'not found' in other spell checkers. Spellex-Anywhere Comprehensive contains over 25,000 English words that are not found in your basic Microsoft, Corel, or other spell check dictionaries.

Is there a way to place my order other than through the e-Store?

You may place your order by calling our customer service department at 800-442-9673 (813-792-7000) from 9 to 5:30 EST Monday-Friday. If you prefer to mail or fax your order, use the e-Store to add the product to your shopping cart and select the "Print Order Form" option.

Can I choose to download my purchase instead of having it shipped?

Spellex-Anywhere Basic and Comprehensive are available for immediate download from the e-Store.


What is your return policy?

All Spellex purchases are backed by a satisfaction guarantee. Physical shipments have a 30-day return policy provided the product is in resalable condition. Downloads have a 10-day return policy. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. You must contact our customer service department at 800-442-9673 (813-792-7000) from 9 to 5:30 EST Monday-Friday to receive a RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorization) number. Products returned to us without a RMA number will not be accepted.

Why do you offer free shipping to International locations but charge your US customers?

We offer free shipping to international locations because the import duties and taxes can add up to 30% of the total cost of the product. This prevents many people from ordering because the cost becomes unmanageable. As an incentive, we pay the freight costs with the customer still responsible for the GST and VAT charges.
