Intelligent suggestions for misspelled words |

The Spellex Spell Check Applet contains the power to locate suggested spelling replacements using either a phonetic (sounds like) or typographical (looks like) comparison of words. These suggestions are scored by the degree of closeness with the misspelled word and the list of suggestions is returned in descending score order. The first offered suggestion is usually the correct replacement for words containing a single error. |
Lexicons available in several languages |

Dictionary lexicons for major Western European languages are available, including, Brazilian (Portuguese), Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish. Installing these lexicons will allow you to spell check in a variety of languages. |

The Applet includes an option to spell-check text written in HTML. The software skips tags and markups in the HTML code allowing it to spell-check only the true text. | |||
