To check the spelling of a word

To check the spelling of a word, simply type the word in the input box and click on SPELL CHECK. The Spellex Internet spell checker will search the appropriate database for the correct spelling of the word.

• If the word was spelled correctly, the Internet speller will display a correct match result.

• If the word was not spelled correctly, the Internet speller will display a list of words with similar spelling or sounds.

• If the word was not spelled correctly, and no similar matches can be found, a "no matches found" message will be displayed.

To look up the spelling of a word

Simply type the first few letters of the word followed by an asterisk. This method is called a wildcard search. For example, type abdomino* to display all words in the database starting with abdomino...
